Clearinghouse of Professional Information

Creative Economy

With the current economic crisis and the February 2009 release of Richard Florida’s report to the Premier of Ontario, Ontario in the Creative Age, there is considerable interest in understanding the creative economy and the creative class. The resources on this page have been gathered to help library staff better understand the creative economy and what it means to be a creative community. In other sections of the Clearinghouse, there is additional information on Libraries as Cultural Partners and Measuring Socio-Economic Benefits of Public Libraries.
